10 of the World’s Top 25 are coming to Tattersalls

An exciting week of competition is promised with no less than fourteen countries being represented at next week’s (29th May to Sunday 2nd June)  International Horse Trials and Country Fair.

As well as attracting the top level equestrian stars, Tattersalls has built up an impressive shopping village, with numerous food outlets and offers entertainment for all the family. Cross country action can be seen on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Many of the world’s top ranked riders will be appearing, including our own WEG silver medallists: Sam Watson (Currently ranked World No 7) Cathal Daniels (Currently ranked World No 16), Padraig McCarthy (Currently ranked World No 18) and Sarah Ennis (Currently ranked World No 23 )

Tim and his wife Jonelle Price became the first husband and wife to represent New Zealand in eventing at the Olympic Games when they participated at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2017 he won the CCI3* at Ballindenisk, Le Pin au Haras CCI3*  and the CCIO3* at Boekelo, and both the CCI1* and CCI2* at Tattersalls.

Izzy Taylor ??

Izzy Taylor, the Tatts 2018 CCI3* winner  has been a multiple winner at Irish Internationals having clocked up wins at Tattersalls, Millstreet, Kilguilkey, Ballindenisk and Camphire.

Laura Collett ??

Recent winner of the first leg of the Event Riders Masters at Chatsworth International, Laura Collet, has represented GB at Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior level.In 2005 she won British team gold and individual silver at the Pony European Championships, and in  2006 (aged 16) she became the youngest rider ever to win an international event when winning the CCI2* at Tweseldown.

Tina Cook ??

Olympian, Tina Cook’s father (the late Josh Gifford) was four times Champion Jockey and her mother Althea Roger-Smith was a successful international show jumper who won the Queen Elizabeth Cup and came second in the Hickstead Derby. Her achievements include:

Tom McEwan ??

28 year old Tom won the Connolly’s Red Mills CCI2* U24 at Tattersalls in 2014. He has represented GB at Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior Level with medal winning performances across the board most notably being a member of the Gold Medal team at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in 2018.

 

William Fox-Pitt ??

Very little introduction is needed for frequent Tattersall’s competitor, William Fox-Pitt

Won the CCI*, CCI2* and the CCI3* on the same day at Tattersalls

William has bounced back from an horrific fall at Le Lion d’Angers in France in October 2015 where he sustained  a severe head trauma. He spent a month in an induced coma in France before continuing his rehabilitation at a hospital in England. Doctors told him he could return to competition in March 2016

Kazuma Tomoto ??

Japan’s Kazuma Tomoto was  the winner of the CCI4*-S at the recent Ballindenisk International. He will be taking on the The Irish Field CCI4*-L with Bernadette Utopia (formerly ridden by Padraig McCarthy).
