Some of the world’s top event riders from no less than fifteen nations will be coming to Ireland next week for the Millstreet International in Co. Cork.
This will be the first time that the Event Riders Masters (ERM) will be hosting a leg of the competition in Ireland. The Event Rider Masters is a CCI 4*S series with record prize money, the aim of the ERM being to showcase the sport of Eventing to global audience. The competition is run over two days, with dressage on the first day and show jumping and cross country on the second day. During the six legs of the competition, the riders battle it out for the coveted Event Rider Masters title and a £30,000 series first prize. The prize money at each leg is £50,000, with winner receiving £16,000. The ERM is contested by 30 of the highest ranked riders.
Padraig McCarthy will be making an appearance at Millstreet with new partner, Leonidas II, formerly ridden by Mark Todd, who announced his retirement at Camphire International last month.
