25 nations and 118 competitors
The Master List has been released for Mondial du Lion who will host 25 nations, which will include entries from Morocco, Luxembourg and Argentina, for the first time.

Eventing headliners include German rider Julia KRAJEWSKI, the 2020 Olympic gold medallist and silver medallist at the Eventing World Championship in Paratoni last month. New Zeland’s, Jonelle PRICE (currently ranked second in the FEI world eventing rankings) as well as Anna-Lena SCHAAF (Germany) and Kevin MCNAB (Australia), the winners of last year’s 6 year old and 7 years old championships at Mondial du Lion.

Competition will begin on Wednesday with the first horse inspection, which will be followed by dressage on Thursday and Friday.
The cross-country test will take place on Saturday. The, 6 years old horses will have maximum of 4670m with 30 jumps whereas 7 years old horses will cover
approximately 5200m with 35 jumps.
The second horse inspection will take place on Sunday morning, then the show jumping will start at 10 a.m, the final test to decide who will win the the two World Championships.
Good news ! The label « FEI WBFSH WORLD BREEDING CHAMPIONSHIP » has been extended for the Mondial du Lion until 2024, an important year in France since Paris will host the Olympic Games.
Ireland’s Entries
Ireland will be represented by:Horse Sport Ireland has announced the team of horses that will represent the Irish WBFSH Studbooks at the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses 2022. The Championship will be held at Le Lion D’Angers in France from the 20th to 23rd October 2022
