The first vet inspection in this year’s Longines CCI5*-L competition has kicked off Luhmühlen 2019. Not only the horses were turned-out beautifully but the riders were looking rather dashing too.

All horses presented to the ground jury were given the desired “accepted” and are therefore declared fit to compete in this year’s Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials. Amongst the many international competitors, German riders Andreas Dibowski (FRH Butts Avedon) and Andreas Ostholt (Corvette 31) are going to present themselves in front of the home crowd: “I always plan my season so I can ride at least one of my horses in the big event here in Luhmühlen. Avedon feels super fit at the moment, and I hope to prove myself right for choosing to compete in the five-star competition”, says Andreas Dibowski.

Tomorrow morning will start at 9.00 am with the first part of the CCI4*-S Meßmer Trophy dressage test. Guinea pig is Miriam Engel (GER) with Bonita Bella. At 2.15pm the Longines CCI5*-L is going to be kicked off by guinea pig Kai Rüder (GER) with Colani Sunrise

Ireland’s Sam Watson will be seventh rider in the CCI5* – L dressage arena tomorrow (16:23 Irish time)
