Braving the rain at Killossery Lodge

Torrential rain persisted for the day at today’s event hosted by the Glynn family at Killossery Lodge , however the ground held up very well. Umbrellas were the order of the day for the spectators who braved the unseasonal weather.

Clare Abbott and Glenkeeran River

Clare Abbott and the Crosstown Dancer (RID) gelding, Glenkeeran River led from the start on a dressage score of 27.3 penalties and clinched the victory with double clear show jumping and cross country. She also finished just 3 penalties behind on Timpany Night, to take second place as well. Emily Corbett and Leapfrog added just 1.6 time penalties on the cross country to finish in third.

Rory O’Hare and DBS Anchorman

The dressage score was again the decider in the CNC1* – A section with Rory O’Hare and DBS Anchorman winning on their score of 26.5 penalties.

Camilla Speirs and Clonaltra Acorn

Camilla Speirs and Clonaltra Acorn started the cross country as leaders and although having a time penalty of 0.4 on the cross country they finished ahead of Michael Ryan and Sir Charlie Brown who finished on a dressage score of 34.3 to take second place. Steven Smith and Winchester finished third.

Rebecca Joyce and Heisacoolhand

A clear cross country within the time made the difference for Rebecca Joyce and Heisacoolhand in the CNCJ1* leaving the combination ahead of dressage leader Herbie Purce with Stan from Meelin who finished in second place.

Ava Banahan and Regent Des Mauvis

Winners, Ava Banahan  and Regent Des Mauvis were the only combination to complete in the CNCP2*

Sarah Ponsonby and Dear Cinderella

After winning last week at Punchestown Horse Trials, it was two in a row for Sarah Ponsonby and Dear Cinderella who won the CNC1* Amateurs. Just 0.1 of a penalty behind in second place was Ann Bowe and Festy Breeze. Florence Campbell and Imperial Master were third.
