British rider Harriet Dicken carried Wilberry Wonder Pony around the cross country; a poignant reminder of the inspirational Hannah Francis who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in 2015 when she was just 17 years old, and sadly passed away on Monday 1st August. Named after the small soft toy given to Hannah when she was diagnosed with cancer, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony became an official charity on 29 March 2016 having already raised more than £100,000 for worthy causes. Wilberry was carried by Ben Hobday and Mulrys Error at Badminton.
Earlier this year, Hannah travelled to Ireland to complete one the things on her “bucket list” which was too ride under the British flag at an international event. She and her bay mare Mavis were invited to ride the one and two-star tests at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials.
