Chivers, part of the Boyne Valley Group, has today been announced as a new sponsor of Horse Sport Ireland’s senior Eventing team, the first Irish sports team to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The Irish Eventing team became Ireland’s first sports team to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics when they secured team silver at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina. Members of the Irish Eventing squad have built on this success over the past 18 months, securing both an individual World Silver medal and Individual European Bronze medal for Ireland as well as a team podium finish in the Nations Cup at Camphire International Horse Trials and numerous individual wins at the highest international level.

Chivers, one of Ireland’s most loved brands, is part of the Boyne Valley Group – official food partner to the Sport Ireland Institute, where many Irish equestrian athletes have been training as they prepare for the 2020 Olympic Games which take place in Tokyo this August.
Speaking at the announcement, Bill O’Sullivan, CFO of Boyne Valley Group said:
