Cathal Daniels
The long trip to Barroca d’Alva in Portugal was well worth the journey for Cathal Daniels.
He won the CCI2*-S with his new partner Shannondale Mari, who led the competition from day 1 on a dressage score of 26.9 to score her first FEI win after producing two faultless rounds in both show jumping and cross country.

Austin O’Connor also scored well for Ireland, taking 5th place with the 7 year old bay mare Isazsa owned by Lesley Rose.
Cathal went on to score a double in week 1 by winning the CCI3*-S with OLS King Aragon finishing on his dressage score and producing one of the very few cross country rounds clear within the optimum time.
The 9 year old bay gelding OLS King Aragon is owned by Michelle Nelson and Kieran Connors.
