Irish Cross Country results at Badminton Horse Trials

There were 59 finishers of the cross country today at Badminton.  Seven of the nine Irish combinations completed, with Austin O’Connor climbing from 58th after dressage, to 13th going into show jumping tomorrow.

Cathal Daniels and Barrichello were clear up to fence 29 where they had a fall.

An error of course at fence 20, cost Sarah Ennis with Woodcourt Garrison, an elimination.

As well as the Irish entries, there was a very strong presence of Irish bred horses including Oliver Townend’s two entries: Swallow Springs and Ballaghmor Class, who are currently in second and third place.

The overnight leader going into thee final day is Laura Collett with London 52 (GBR) who remain on their dressage score of 21, leaving them with a fence in hand.
