It’s a Win Win for Laura Collett at Millstreet

A foot perfect showjumping round, ensured the win for overnight leaders British Olympic gold medallist and Badminton champion, Laura Collett with  Dacapo (owned by Diana Chappell, Carolyn Taylor Gillian Morris-Adams, Michael and Alison Smedley).  The combination added no penalties to their leading  dressage score of 26.7.

Tim Price and Coup de Cœur Dudevin (NZL) (owned by Jean-Louis Stauffer) moved up to take second after a clear round in this afternoon’s showjumping.

Elizabeth Power and Senza Fine (owned by Therese Miller, Elizabeth Power),  the highest placed Irish combination, finishing in third, followed by Cathal Daniels with his own Cairnview Romolu who moved up to seventh place after picking up just 0.4 of a time penalty in the showjumping)

Laura Collett’s winning streak continued into the CCI3*L, where this time she took the victory with the 8 year old Outback (owned by Yogi Breisner, Diana Chapel, Christopher Clementi) completing on  their dressage score.

New Zealand’s Sam Lissington and Bing Bong (owned by Alexander Giannamore, Joseph Giannamore) placed second, just 0.7 penalties behind the winner. The top Irish result was for Aoife Clark who took third with Sportsfield Freelance (owned by The Freelance Syndicate).

The CCI2*L went to New Zealand with overnight leader, Jonelle Price and Fernhill Kankan (owned by Therese Miller and Julia Lukas) who added nothing to their dressage score. The seven year old mare  was purchased from Carol Gee (Fernhill Sport Horses) last year.

Again, it was Aoife Clark who was the highest placed Irish rider, taking second place with Fetiche des Rouges, followed by Clodie Coen who took third with Union Fortunus.

There was a very popular win in the CCIP2* section, which was won by the overnight leader Josh Williamson with Jane Hancock’s Ardeo Fireman, who held the leading position in spite of incurring 4 penalties in the showjumping.

In second place was Ben Connor’s with Cornafest Fred, who had the only clear round in the time allowed, and in third was Tom Nestor and Tullaree Ruby Tuesday.
