Thibault Fournier with Siniani De Lathus are in the lead after cross country.
Pierre Michelet’s track at Les Etoiles de Pau CCI4* saw today’s cross country make changes on the leaderboard. Thirty eight of the sixty starters completed the course, and twenty six produced clears.
French rider Thibault Fournier currently sits in the lead after the cross-country phase with SINIANI DE LATHUS. He was one of only four riders to achieve the optimum time, and is currently on a score of 25.5. This is his first 4*.
Great Britain holds the next three top scores with Gemma Tattersallwith PAMERO 4 in 2nd, Izzy Taylorwith BE TOUCHABLE in 3rdand Ros Canter with ZENSHERA in 4th.
Oliver Townend and CILLNABRADDEN EVO, who were leading after dressage, were eliminated after a fall at the first of two angled hedges at fence 31. William Fox-Pitt and LITTLE FIRE (who had started the day in 15th), also parted company towards the end of the course.
Joseph Murphy and FERNHILL FRANKIE went clear with 7.6 time penalties, to finish the cross country in 15th position (a massive climb of 43 places). Joseph also holds 31stposition with SPORTSFIELD OTHELLO who finished the cross country with 20 jumping penalties and 14.4 time penalties.
