Kilmanahan (1) 17th May 2015

Kilmanahan’s first event of the season took place on 17th May, and attracted large entries with more than 300 competitors, many having their final run before Tattersalls International next week.

Connolly’s Red Mills O/CNC2*

1. Rebecca Dunlea & Cashelane Captain
2. Fraser Duffy & Fernhill Revelation
3. Michael O’Toole & Greenfort Endeavour

Rebecca Dunlea and Cashelane won the O/CNC1* after finishing on their dressage score with only 19.6 penalties, Fraser Duffy with Carol Gee’s Fernhill Revelation finished 2nd with a score of 26.6 and  3rd was Michael O’Toole and Greenfort Endeavour just 2 points behind. Both Fernhill Revelation and Greenfort Endeavour are bound for Tattersalls next week.

CNC2*

Two horses (Knockeevan Harry and Owltown) heading for next weeks 2* in Tattersalls, placed in the top three at Kilmanahan.  However the pole position in the CNC2* at Kilmanahan was claimed by Nicola Ennis and Briary Swan who retained their lead after the dressage

O/CNC1*

Camilla Speirs and Goldman retained their dressage score of 24.8 to win the O/CNC*, with  Sadhbh McGrath and Bridgemans Cocoa Malt 4 points behind to finish 2nd. Sam Watson and Imperial Sky finished on a score of 30.8, having picked up 0.8 of a time penalty on the cross country. Goldman is entered in the Cooley Farm CCIYH1* 6&7yo at Tattersalls,

Meabh Bolger & Tullabeg Flamenco won the CNC1*-A section finishing on a dressage score of 26.5, The combination are also entered in the Cooley Farm CCIYH1* 6&7yo at Tattersalls as are 3rd placed Michael O’Toole and the  Cavalier Two For Joy skewbald mare, Night and Light

Sophie Richards and  SRS Adventure, another combination entered in the Cooley Farm CCIYH1* 6&7yo at Tattersalls, took the honours in the CNC1* – B, finishing on a dressage score of 27.8.

3. Nessa Briody & Kilnantic Brownie

Robbie Kearns and Garrybritt Bonny, won the CNCJ1* section on a score of 25, with Correna Bowe and Gold Dancer in 2nd with a score of 27.5 and Nessa Briody & Kilnantic Brownie 3rd on a score of 33.3. All three combinations are entered in the Tredstep Ireland CCIJ1* at Tattersalls.

CNCP2*

1. Mary Smiddy & Mr Hale Bob
2. Selma Hammarstrom & Three Wells Breeze
3. Lucy Hancock & Corries Whiskey

In the CNCP2* section, both the winner Mary Smiddy and  Mr Hale Bob and 2nd Selma Hammarstrom and  Three Wells Breeze, head for Tattersalls next week. Mr. Hale Bob finished on a score of 36.8 (having picked up 0.8 of a x/c time penalty), with Three Wells Breeze finishing on 41.3 and in 3rd place on a score of 44.3 was Corries Whiskey.

Sharon Power took her second win of the season with Stonehavens Master Class with a score of 27.5. She won with Stonehavens Master Class at Ballindenisk (1) in March.
