Luhmuhlen CCI5*-L Kick-off!

The first horse inspection marks the start of the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials

When breeches and riding boots are switched for dresses and suits, it’s  time for the first horse inspection. The ground jury, consisted of Anne-Mette Binder (DEN), Sandy Phillips (GBR) and Dr. Joachim Dimmek (GER) as well as Dr. Jürgen Mertens.

All Irish combinations were accepted.

Two horses were sent to the holding box but both were accepted on re-inspection, so all combinations will move forward to the Luhmühlen Horse Trials CCI5* dressage phase. The two sent to the holding box were Commander VG, presented by Lithuania’s Aistis Vitkauskas, and Rubis De Prere, presented by Italy’s Pietro Sandei..

World-class eventers such as Tim Price from New Zealand, multiple world- and European champions such as Laura Collett and Yasmin Ingham as well as other top stars from Great Britain, Germany, France, Ireland and many other nations will be competing in the Longines CCI5*-L over the next few days.

The German colours will be represented by Luhmühlen based Nicolai Aldinger with the 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding Timmo and Libussa Lübbeke with the 14-year-old Hanoverian mare Caramia 34.

The LONGINES CCI5*-L dressage starts tomorrow at 2.15 pm with Tom McEwen (GBR) and CHF Coolister.
