With a score of 29 points, Mollie Summerland (GBR) and Charly vanter Heiden took the lead in the small but mighty list of competitors.Tim Price (NZL) is currently in second and third place with Ascona M (29.1) and Ringwood Sky Boy (29.2) The British Luhmühlen debutante was full of praise for her horse: “He’s a beautiful horse on the flat. I was actually a little bit disappointed because I’d missed a flying change but I’m really glad he got the result he deserves. I’m enjoying the moment right now, but tomorrow, I’ll put him first and not ride for the result list. There are so many experienced riders directly behind me. The cross-country course is pretty intense, especially the water complexes so I’ll see how he feels and react to that.”
Tim Price was very happy with both of his horses: “Ringwood Sky Boy is like my old friend. We know each other so well now, when I hop on him it feels like I get to have time off. He’s a very experienced horse, so every competition feels like a bonus. Ascona is also experienced, she’s obviously been good here before. It’s nice to be back at an event she’s familiar with. She’s a fierce mare with so much talent
