Camilla Speirs has announced the retirement of the great Portersize Just A Jiff (sired by the Connemara stallion Crosskeys Rebel) , who is now 18 years old. The partnership went from Pony Club to then representing Ireland at the World Equestrian Games and the Olympic Games.
Jiffy’s fans will have a chance to see his final big appearance as he is joining the Eventing Demo Tour on the 2nd-4th of February and his appearance on the tour will support the fundraiser for the Irish High-Performance Eventing athletes on their way to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, this September.
The pint sized star has completed some of the world’s biggest tracks including:
Badminton Horse Trials on 5 occasions (2010, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2017)
- 4 Nations Cup appearances,
- 2 World Equestrian Games (Kentucky 2010 & Caen 2014)
- London Olympics in 2012
- CCI4* at Pau, 2016
Jiffy will appear at each venue on the Eventing Demo Tour, so you can see him at:
- Feb 2nd Maryville Stables in Cork
- Feb 3rd at Spruce Lodge Equestrian in Wicklow
- Feb 4th at Portmore Equestrian Centre in Antrim
