Sophie Richards & SRS Adventure (owned by rider Sophie Richards and Steven Smith) claimed the Bronze Medal for Ireland today at the Eventing World Breeding Championships for Young Horses
The combination were in seventh position after dressage in the 6 y/o class on a penalty score of 47.3. The combination moved up to sixth after the cross country phase, and after a show jumping clear, they went on to finish third.
The winner of the 6 y/o world championship was Germany’s individual European and Olympic champion Michael Jung with Fischerincanatas, who went into the show jumping phase with six points in hand, which still left him in gold position even though he had 4 penalties.
SRS Adventure (ISH) – 2009 chestnut gelding is by Newmarket Venture (HANN) out of Newmarket Dato Two (ISH), by Aldato (KWPN). he was bred by Billy Daly, Co. Cork.
