Steven Smith started a highly successful day at Kedrah Castle by winning the O/CNC2* section with Ringford Rubicon. In 3rd position after the dressage phase, a faultless round in the SJ and only 2.8 time penalties X/C section were enough to raise the combination to the top of the leader board. The time on the X/C proved to be very tight, with not one combination coming home within the time allowed.

An excellent dressage score of 26.3 left James O’Haire and Millridge Z Two, with enough in hand to still win the section even with 9.2 time penalties on the X/C. Again in this section, the time was very tight, with only two of the starters finishing with zero time penalties. One of these was Emily Corbett with Zoronia, who finished 1 point behind in second place.
