Sarah Ennis and Horseware Stellor Rebound, the top placed Irish combination finishing in individual 2nd place in the CICO3* at Ballindenisk International
In spite of all the dire weather forecasts for the weekend, cross country day at Ballindenisk had a beautiful day and good ground conditions. Three faultless rounds by the Irish team allowed them to maintain their overnight 2nd position, finishing just 8.9 points below the winners Great Britain.
The X/C time proved to be tight enough, and had an effect on the eventual placings. In the individual placings, Ireland’s Sarah Ennis and Horseware Stellor Rebound moved up from their overnight 3rd placing to finish 2nd. The overnight leader, Izzy Taylor with KBIS Starchaser had 30 faults on the cross country course, leaving fellow GBR rider, Emilie Chandler with Gino Royale as the individual winners of the CICO3*, as well as taking 6th place with Coopers Law.
The second highest placed Irish rider was Patricia Ryan with Dunrath Eclipse, taking 9th place.
