New Zealand’s Tim Price and the KWPN gelding HAPPY BOY were the winners of the 7 YO World Eventing Championships for Young Horses 2019 (Le Lion d’Angers) climbing from overnight 13th position to the top of the podium after producing a faultless show jumping round over the strong track on than ideal ground conditions. By the final day, the heavy rain during the week, had certainly taken it’s toll on the grass arena.
Tim and Happy Boy were seen in Ireland earlier this year, coming 17th in the CCI3*-S at Camphire, and 19th in the CCIYH2*-L at Tattersalls
Liz Halliday-Sharp with the Irish Sport Horse gelding Cooley Moonshine (Cobra x Kilpatrick Duchess, by Kings Master) was in 13th position after 1.2 time the cross country. This combination also produced another impressive show jumping round which propelled them right up the leaderboard to finish in 2nd.
