The Sema Lease Camphire International Horse Trials and Country Fair, 25th-28th July, with the biggest number of entries in the event’s 10 year history, with competitors representing 16 nations.
This year, Camphire is hosting the Irish leg of the FEI Nation’s Cup, with eight nations fielding teams. This Nation’s Cup leg is of prime importance, as it will be the final chance for many countries to gain their 2020 Olympic qualification. Ireland have already secured their Olympic qualification when they won the silver at the World Equestrian Games last year. Another team that already have their qualification are the World Equestrian Games gold medallists, Team Great Britain.
All members of the Irish WEG silver medal team will be at Camphire : Sarah Ennis, Cathal Daniels, Sam Watson and Padraig McCarthy.
At Camphire 2018, Cathal won the CCI3* with Sammy Davis Junior. Padraig won the CIC3* with Mr Chunky, with Sarah and Horseware Stellor Rebound taking 2nd.

Tim and his wife Jonelle Price became the first husband and wife to represent New Zealand in eventing at the Olympic Games when they participated at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Tim was the Luhmuhlen winner in 2014. In 2017 he won the CCI3* at Ballindenisk, Le Pin au Haras CCI3* and the CCIO3* at Boekelo, and both the CCI1* and CCI2* at Tattersalls. In 2018 he was the Burghley winner.
Tim was 2nd in the CCI3* at Camphire last year.
Tim’s wife Jonelle , was the 2018 Badminton winner . Jonelle was a winner at Camphire last year, taking the Castleacre CCI2* with Hester.
World number 4 and WEG gold medallist Tom McEwen (GBR) 28 year old Tom won the Connolly’s Red Mills CCI2* U24 at Tattersalls in 2014.
No introduction is needed for one of the best known faces in eventing, Sir Mark Todd (AUS), who makes his first appearance at Camphire.
