Great Britain’s Oliver Townend and Lanfranco TSF lead the field in the Horse Sport Ireland CCI3* after the first day at Ballindenisk International. Townend is 5 penalties ahead of Pippa Funnell (GBR ) but less than 3 penalties divide second to sixth places.
Townend has partnered Bettina Hoy’s former 4 star Lanfranco TSF since 2015, and the combination have been showing excellent form this year. They placed 4th in this class at Ballindenisk last year.
Cross country for the CCI classes starts tomorrow at 1pm.
