Sam Watson and the seasoned campaigner Horseware Bushman (whose last outing was at the World Equestrian Games in 2014) led all the way in the CNC3* at Ballindenisk (1) today, finishing on their dressage score of 28. Sarah Ennis (who already made a great start to the 2015 season with two wins at Ballinagore last week) took second slot with Stellor Rebound on a final score of 30 followed very closely by Joseph Murphy and Sportsfield Othello finishing on 30.7. Fourth position was also claimed by Sarah Ennis and BLM Diamond Delux, who had been lying in second place after the dressage but incurred 4 time penalties in the cross country section.
In the Connollys Red Mills Super League O/CNC2* Rebecca Dunlea and Cashelane Captain maintained their lead to win in spite of one time penalty in the show jumping phase, narrowly beating Sam Watson with Horseware Lukeswell and Patricia Ryan and Dunrath Eclipse by just 0.1.
Heidi Hamilton and the bay Luidam gelding Dam Easy (in his first 2*) proved to be unbeatable in the CNC2* after going into the lead after the dressage with a score of 25.2. Capt. Geoff Curran and River Derg finished in second position with a final score of 36.2 with Louise Lyons and Theatreworld in third.
