The ever popular venue at Grove attracted a very large entry on the 5th October. Balloting took place so that the cross country could be completed before darkness fell.
Joseph Murphy and the 13 year old gelding Electric Cruise emerged triumphant in the Fernhill Sport Horses and Sportsfield Event Horses O/CNC**, finishing on their dressage score of 30.5.
Rebecca Dunlea and Cashelane Captain finished the cross country with 2.4 time fault added to their dressage score of 30.9, putting them into second slot, followed by Joseph Murphy again taking 3rd with Sportsfield Othello, finishing on 35.4.
The course took it’s toll with 3 retirements and 2 eliminations.
