Heavy rain the day before the event meant that some changes had to be made to the course. For safety reasons it was decided to omit the new fences on the far side of the river.

Brian Coleman had two rides in the O/CNC2* section , giving him a win on The Caveman and fourth on Euralia A

Alan Briscoe and his own chestnut gelding Charlie V Overis Z took the O/CNC1* class with a score of 36.5. Karen Gray and Quie A Puzzle finished 2.1 points behind, after having 5.6 x/c penalties. Luke Drea who was in the lead after the dressage with Glencot Prospect, withdrew before the other two phases.

Nicola Ennis took first and fourth place out of a field of 34 in the CNC*, finishing on her dressage scores with both rides.

Cathal Daniels from Co. Galway took first and second slot in the CNCJ* class. He completed on his dressage score of 31 with Margaret Kinsella’s Ballyknock Nice Guy. His other ride Sanny Davis Junior had been leading coming into the cross country phase, but 1.2 penalties for x/c time drpped him to second position.
